Politicians from the Civilian Coalition, however, did not hide their concerns about the contents of the note. Opposition lawmakers believe that the document may not contain the words “war repair”, as well as the amount requested by Poland. Therefore, Dariusz Rosati, Paweł Kowal and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz plan to appear at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
Well, so far the authorities have not revealed the exact contents of the note. Minister Rau only said that it contained “the belief that the parties should take immediate action aimed at permanent, comprehensive, final, legal and material arrangements on the issue of the consequences of aggression and occupation”.
Members of the Civilian Coalition will demand the ministry issue notes and information on any annexes to those records. – There is a serious suspicion that the public has been misled, so we want to be shown documents that were sent to the German side and published, said Paweł Kowal.
Poland demands compensation from Germany
On September 1, at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, it was officially presented Poland’s loss report as a result of German aggression and occupation during World War II.
The team led by MP PiS Arkadiusz Mularczyk estimated Poland’s losses due to the war waged by Germany at PLN 6 trillion 220 billion 609 million. The report’s authors emphasize that Poland’s compensation claims against Germany have not expired and have not yet expired.
The authorities in Berlin took the position that the repair case was closed in 1953.
