Joanna K., who participated in the illegal takeover of TVP by Minister Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, will be charged by prosecutors. An investigation into abuse of power by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage is underway, the wPolitce.pl portal found.

The basis for making these decisions is the results of various procedural activities carried out during the investigation. Prosecutors searched the office of notary Joanna K., as well as the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, collecting the necessary evidence, including surveillance footage of the place and time of the alleged notarial deed. In addition, the collected documentation is analyzed and people related to the events are interviewed. The existing findings indicate that the decisions that formed the basis of changes made to the public media management board were not taken at the place and time stated therein.

Based on the evidence gathered and the analysis conducted, the prosecutor’s office concluded that there were reasonable grounds to charge Joanna K. with stating untruths in a notarial deed regarding changes in the management of major public media. This decision has not been announced to the suspect due to his absence in the country
