tyi newspaper from America on 2.-9. In January 2023, they went on a mission to Prague and Liberec, exchanging Czech architecture, glass and design. The mission was organized by Consul General R v New York in collaboration with the CzechTourism office for the United States and Canada with financial support from the Ministry of Regional Development. The main goal of this mission is the promotion of Czech art and Czech art and industrial design in the most prestigious cities of the world.
As part of a project to support economic diplomacy, the newspaper visited the capital Prague Libereck region. They took part in the 25th annual Designblok international design festival in Prague, where they made a number of working contacts during the official and closed stages of the festival. The newspaper also saw architectural monuments, such as Mller’s villa in Steovice and the Invalidovna building in Karln.
According to the mission lasts until Liberec region, where the press visited the manufacturing company Preciosa Lighting, the Ajeto glass factory, the LASVIT company Greenhouse and the Ricardo Hoineff glass installation, the Brazilian glass ijcho in Podjetd. In Jablonec nad Nisou, the beginners visited the jewelry museum and then continued to Ponikl in the Semila region, where they got to know the manufacture of perlikov ornaments included in UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage of the people.
The key to this project is the awareness of Estonia as a developed country that has potential business opportunities in the fields of design, glass and architecture. We hope that representative newspapers will publish articles in America’s most prestigious magazines such as Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Artnet, Metropolis Magazine, GQ and Observer.
