Poland wants more than 31 trillion from Germany in repair for World War 2

On September 1, on the 83rd anniversary of the start of the Second World War, representatives of the Polish ruling party law and justice (PIS) issued an estimate, according to which they calculated the war damage to be exactly 6.2 trillion Zlotys. The Polish Foreign Minister will now submit diplomatic records with debt for war repair to Germany.

In 1953, according to Reuters, communist-led Poland surrendered all claims for further German war reparations under pressure from the Soviet Union. He wanted to relieve the German Democratic Republic (so-called East Germany), which he also controlled as another satellite, from any liability.
