Putin provokes on the map. “So far in the history of mankind there has not been a Ukraine” – Wprost

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin has publicly boasted of the gift from Valery Zorkin, president of the Constitutional Court. It was a map from the mid-seventeenth century, made by French cartographers. As Zorkin explained to his country’s leader, Ukraine wasn’t in it then.

Putin shows world map without Ukraine

– There are territories in two places – the Commonwealth region and the Cossack region. And the great Russian empire, says Zorkin. In the propaganda tape, Putin replied that “he is well aware of it.” He also began to show off his historical knowledge.

– These lands were only part of the Commonwealth, and then they asked to join the Moscow principality. (…) It was only then, after the October Revolution, that quasi-state formations began to emerge. Soviet power created Soviet Ukraine. Until now, there has not been a Ukraine in the history of mankind, the Russian leader emphasized.

Russian propaganda deprives Ukraine of its right to exist

The scene playing out in front of the camera is another manifestation of this kind, which is striking in the Ukrainian state. Even before the invasion of the neighboring country, Russian propaganda emphasized that the authorities in Kiev were defending an artificial political entity that was not a nation.

In December 2021, Putin stated that Vladimir Lenin created Ukraine when he designed the Soviet Union. In turn, in an Appeal to Russia before the invasion, Putin emphasized that “Ukraine was completely created by Russia through the struggle for its historical territory.”

Russia wants to divide Poland and Ukraine

Propaganda in the Kremlin hit not only Ukraine, but very often Poland as well. Even in March this year, Stanisław Żaryn stressed that Russian propagandists have not stopped trying to antagonize Poland and Ukraine. This time, Vladimir Putin’s associates decided to accuse Poland of plundering raw materials from Ukraine, and more precisely the mass export of Ukrainian chernozem.

According to the report of the deputy minister-coordinator of the secret service, a video has appeared on the Internet showing excavators allegedly plundering arable land from a field in the Cherkasy region. The procedure was allegedly carried out with the approval of the officials of the two countries. Stanisław Żaryn stressed that “the aim of this completely false footage is to show Poland as an occupying power – comparable to the German occupation of World War II, who plundered Ukrainian goods.”
