00:01. General Syrski: troops advance another 1-3 km in the Kursk region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced 1-3 km in different directions in the Kursk Oblast, the commander-in-chief, General Oleksandr Syrski, announced in the evening in a report to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The assault group troops continued to fight, advancing in several directions from one to three kilometers towards the enemy. The fighting continued along the entire front. Overall, the situation was under control.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reported fighting near the village of Malaya Loknya in the Sudzhan district of the Kursk region and said that Russian soldiers had been taken prisoner.

We continue to fill (prisoner exchange reserves – PAP). Currently, fighting is taking place in the area of ​​the village of Malaja Łoknia. I expect many prisoners will be taken there.

According to him, Major General Eduard Moskalov has already started working as the head of the military commander’s office established in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.

The general informed also had a telephone conversation with US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Charles Brown and kept him informed of changes in the operational and strategic situation.

One of the topics of conversation was the assistance provided by the American military and political leadership in comprehensively strengthening the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the end of the conversation, I thanked General Brown for Ukraine’s continued support in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
