The Russian military invasion of the territory of the Ukrainian state is underway. The army of the Russian Federation is said to have entered the third phase of the armed conflict as it began preparing to take control of the conquered territories. In this way, Russia wants to force the West to negotiate and Ukraine to make concessions.
Recently, the Russian army had to withdraw from its positions in several cities in Ukraine. The media reported that they lost, among other things, the Battle of Kharkiv.
Russia without success?
– There is a war against the destruction and exhaustion of Ukraine. The Russians were killed near Kiev, they were unable to cope in Kharkiv, and the ambitions of Russian politicians reached to take control of the Donbass and isolate Ukraine from the Black Sea at the same time. Instead of concentrating forces in one direction, attacks are being carried out in many directions, which, with the loss of a third of the potential ground forces and the destruction of Russian physical units, will fail – stated last Sunday night in the show “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info, Gen. Roman Polko.
– I think Russia will not achieve significant success in the long term. Therefore, it is important to help from the West, so that Ukraine can expel these bandits from areas where activities that destroy the civilian population are carried out – added the former GROM commander.
Aggression against Ukraine
Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has been going on since February 24 this year. It is the largest armed conflict in Europe since the end of World War II, which led to a major refugee crisis.
According to Kremlin propaganda, Moscow does not carry out military operations in the territory of its western neighbour, but “special military operations” aimed at the “demilitarization” and “denazification” of Ukraine and “protection of the Russian-speaking civilian population”.
