Sakaria’s Super goal spreads around the world – NRK Football – News, tables and results

– It was a good goal, but I didn’t think much about it. I didn’t expect it to get so much attention, the humble Oslo boy told NRK.no.

It was in the match between Stabæk and Ski in the 14 year class that Sakarias Opsahl showed an extraordinary performance.

The youngster received a pass from the corner of the 16-yard box, got around the ball with a cheeky twist, and flicked the ball past a defender with his heel.

Then – to the delight of the crowd – “Saka” kicked the ball into the far corner with a full volley.

– I just direct the ball using the sole of my right foot and the toe of my left foot, I also flick it with my heel, explained the 14 year old player.

– I didn’t have time to think too much – my teammates immediately came and cheered with me, he said.

One of Sakarias’ teammates, who didn’t play the game, filmed the whole thing from the sidelines. The art assessment is then documented – and then shared on social media.

– What a goal!!!! Saka will be better than Saha!, wrote Stabæk teacher Ingebrigt Steen Jensen on Facebook.

– I have received a lot of positive feedback, said the goalscorer.

Interviewed by Skysports

And it was not just “Mr. Stabæk” who allowed himself to be impressed by Sakarias.

British TV channel Sky Sports showed the score to its viewers on Saturday, while also interviewing the 14-year-old Norwegian over the phone.

– It was very strange, but very fun. I have to speak English, he said.

Trond’s father also finds it amazing with all the attention his son is getting after achieving his dream goal.

– This is very fun. It’s extraordinary, Trond Opsahl told NRK.no.

– The context is really wild. Sky Sports broadcast three minutes of Premier League material. Nevertheless, the final minutes were devoted to Sakarias and his goal, Trond said further.

Not only that. “Saka” has been given a column space website 101 Big Goalsand Sweden’s Aftonbladet comparing Opsahl to world star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

– Sakarias has a technique that can be used. But he is small and light, weighing no more than 40 kilograms. “Zlatan is a very strong figure, so I don’t think I really understand the comparison,” Trond’s father smiled.

– Little care

He himself was present at Nadderud when his son scored that magnificent goal.

– I watched the match with my father, grandfather Sakaria. He hugged me as the ball hit the net.

– The special thing about this goal is the “wow” factor. First because of the trick itself, then because of the fact that it all ended in a score, Trond’s father said.

Sakaris said he learned the opening trick – where he tricks the ball before heel-kicking it past an opponent – by studying YouTube films.

– I saw a clip on YouTube, I also tried it a little. “I learned it pretty quickly,” Sakarias said.

He knew that Sakarias almost got too much attention after scoring the goal.

– He’s the shy type. He became a little annoyed by the attention. But overall it’s just fun, Trond Opsahl said.

– I dream of making a living from football. His dream is to play for Manchester United, says player Stabæk.
