Mid-July in Polsat News President of the National Memorial Institute, Karol Nawrocki talk about the actions of the Belarusian authorities in the field of historical policy. Belarus has made a decision destroy the graves of Polish Home Army soldiers located in the country.

– The destruction of this cemetery can be considered a provocation against Poland – said the president of the National Memorial Institute at the time.

– Our neighbors operate in completely different circles of civilization, they cannot respect the sanctity of graves or the truth of history. This is really barbaric – he added.

Half a month later, on July 30, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the Russian parliament, answered Nawrocki’s words. In his opinion, the removal of monuments and graves of Red Army soldiers by the Poles was a similar crime and, as he wrote, “barbaric”.

This action of the Polish government was described by Russia as “reverse evolution”. “The poles are really crazy, their evolution has gone in the opposite direction. They have passed the primate and pitecanthropes stages. They are getting closer to the caveman Teshik Tash” – wrote Kolesnik in his tirade.

According to him, Poland is again in danger of being invaded by Germany, like during World War II. “This time Russia will not come to the rescue,” he threatened.

In the spirit of Russian propaganda, one of the main tasks of which was to undermine European solidarity, Kolesnik suggested the attitude of the Polish vassals towards Germany. “They (Poland – ed.) The first capital is Gniezno, the second – Krakow, the third – Warsaw, and maybe the fourth is Berlin. For us it makes no difference” – he wrote.
