Serbia and Europe are facing their most difficult winter since the end of World War II, said President Aleksandar Vučić.
“I want people to know that the next 6.5 months, until March 31, will be the most difficult for all of Europe after World War II,” Vuči said in the Serbian parliament, according to Russian media.
The president stressed that, also for the Serbian people, it would be one of the most demanding periods since 1945. He stated that Serbia and Hungary had sufficient gas reserves for two months, filling Hungary’s current gas storage facilities of 67.84, well below the average. European Union average of 84.49%.
In this context, the Russian media also recalled the words of one Hungarian politician who recently said that cold weather and fuel prices could lead to a revision of EU policies towards Russia in the fall.
A similar opinion about the concessions to Moscow was recently expressed by Vladimir Jabarov, deputy chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council. “Being determines consciousness. And Mr. Scholz is well aware that if the standard of living in Germany drops sharply, no one will ask about Germany’s position in relation to the Russian Federation, will ask why life is starting to get worse” – he argues.
