Prague – Serghi Shan from Spain and Majda John Peterová from South Sudan today won in Prague in the world final of the Schwarzkopf Elite Model Look 2022 model competition. The evening was attended by three dozen finalists selected from thousands of applicants. They present themselves in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle.
Since its founding in 1983, Elite Model Look has been looking for new talent around the world. Competition inventions include world-famous model stars such as Americans Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour, Brazilians Gisele Bündchen and Alessandra Ambrosi, Spanish Inés Sastre or German Diane Kruger.
The Czech Republic has recorded the highest number of world wins since 1992, when the competition was held here. First place was won by Linda Vojtová, Denisa Dvořáková, Eva Klímková, Barbora Podzimková, Jana Tvrdíková and last year Amélie Konšelová.
This year’s finalists arrived in Prague on August 26 and spent five days learning the basics of modeling. Photographers, mentors, hairstylists and makeup artists prepare them through a series of photo shoots, catwalk training, social media training and one-on-one interviews.
One of tonight’s musical guests at the Spanish Hall is mezzo-soprano těpánka Pučálková, a soloist at Semperoper Dresden. The scene was designed by scenographer Marek Cpin, and Jana Burkiewiczová directed the world final.
