Stefan Haneder from Austria became the world champion in mixing the non-alcoholic Mattoni Grand Drink cocktail with The 5 Elements cocktail. In addition to the award, the winner also received a cash prize of $10,000. Czech representative Vítězslav Cirok with a Happiness cocktail took second place.

The final of the 11th edition of the Mattoni Grand Drink Non-Alcoholic Cocktail World Championships takes place as part of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival on Saturday, July 2, at the Mattoni Life Bar near the Karlovy Vry Hot Springs. Seventeen of the best bartenders from around the world compete for the world title in front of an audience. Apart from the winners, Czech finalist Vítězslav Cirok, who works as Bar & Beverage Manager at the famous Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary, stands out among them.

The contestants’ task is to concoct an original non-alcoholic cocktail, which is an integral part of Mattoni’s mineral water, within a time limit of six minutes. He is at home in Karlovy Vary and, as a proud partner of the film festival, has made the Mattoni Grand Drink the main event of his local program for the second time. “This year’s competition proved once again that our mineral water, thanks to its excellent taste and balanced mineral content, is a good base for any drink. We are excited to be able to show again to bartenders from around the world where Mattoni was born. 150 years ago. What’s more, the Czech representative Vítězslav Cirok, who worked here, took a beautiful second place,” said Ondřej Postránský, director of strategic marketing at Mattoni 1873.

“I have followed the Mattoni Grand Drink four times. In the last two competitions, I’ve always been in second place, so I’m training and preparing for first place. And now I finally made it. I am very happy! I’m going to celebrate,” said Austrian winner Stefan Haneder after winning the world title in mixing non-alcoholic cocktails.

Thanks to strict rules and high quality cocktails, the Mattoni Grand Drink competition has earned a reputation in its 24-year history as one of the best bartending competitions in the world. Competing bartenders are evaluated by an expert jury consisting of the presidents of each member country of the IBA world bartending association under the leadership of the director of the competition and the chief commissioner Miroslav erník. Emphasis is mainly placed on the harmony of taste, attractive appearance and innovation of each cocktail. “Every year, the most elite bartenders from around the world participate in the Mattoni Grand Drink with original cocktails of the highest quality possible. This year was no exception. The competition was very balanced and, combined with the incredible and amazing festival atmosphere. moderators – Libor Bouček and Petr Nárožný jr. – that’s how interesting and entertaining bartending shows are created. That’s why I’m very pleased with the excellent placement of our Víti Cirok, who came in second,” added the president of the Czech Bartenders Association, Aleš Svojanovsk.

Material:

• Mattoni Grand shimmer 10 cl
• Rick 4 cl . non alcoholic Caribbean rum
• Pasteurized egg white 15 g
• Chili and turmeric mixture 0.2 g
• Supasawa 1.5 cl
• Monin syrup with apple pie flavor 1.5 cl

Ornaments: Tomato stalks, golden delicious apple, turmeric smoke (turmeric and dry ice)

Preparation process: Pour all ingredients except Mattoni into a shaker with ice and shake carefully. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a glass with ice, add the Mattoni sparkling wine and garnish.
