This Saturday, April 1, the Czech car museum Svět Škodovek near Benešov will reopen to visitors. The private museum of a pair of enthusiastic historic car collectors from Škodovka in Mladá Boleslav opened after the winter holidays for the 2023 season and is attracting visitors to its rich permanent exhibition. Cars are on display in various states, from found to fully restored.
“This year, visitors can look forward to eight new exhibitions, among which they will find the New Zealand Trekka, the fully electric Elmo Favorite or the extraordinary first generation government, which is a prototype for the presidential office. We are adding another Škoda 130 RS to the section race cars, and in the utility section, HZS-1 coating engines made from Škoda 1000 MB can be seen,” said Blanka Kunčarová of Škoda World.
The large collection started at the turn of the millennium and today consists of around a hundred cars. At Škodovek World you can see the most interesting pieces from the collection, while the brand’s factory museum in Mladá Boleslav has many unique specimens to envy. The exhibition is thematically divided into sections with special races and circuits, prototypes, and commercial vehicles. An independent piece of travel into the Czech Republic’s automotive past is the authentic historic driving school classrooms.
During this season, the museum with a total area of 1400 m2 You will find permanent exhibitions, short-term exhibitions, a pleasant cafe with a children’s corner or a shop with various souvenirs. This year’s museum opening hours will not end until Sunday, October 29, 2023.

WHEN: The 2023 season runs from Saturday 1 April to Sunday 29 October.
OPENING HOURS: In April and May on holidays and weekends, in June to September from Tuesday to Sunday, in October on weekends. Will be open daily from 10am to 5pm.
RECEPTION: Basic admission is 150 CZK, discounted entry is 100 CZK and family entry is 400 CZK.
