The hunt for the Dortmund striker has intensified in recent weeks.
According to German and British media, Haaland has a buyout clause which means that he will most likely leave Dortmund this summer.
– Won’t pretend
– I’m a supporter of openness and accessibility, but sometimes you have to respect the fact that someone is in an extraordinary situation, and that sometimes means you have to protect that person – either because he wants it, we want it, or his closest wishes, Solbakken told NRK and add:
– I can’t say who wants it the most. But it’s possible that he shows up anyway, but I don’t want to pretend that it doesn’t matter, because he does.
Haaland has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in the world, such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and Barcelona.
Both Bild and The Times last week reported that Manchester City are in the best position in the race.
Which club should Haaland choose?
– Every word is reversed
It’s uncertain Haaland will be in charge of press duties during this meeting, but Solbakken stresses that all words and sentences from the tip are weighed very carefully these days.
Haaland arrived in Norway by private plane on Monday, and he trained with the team on Tuesday.
– We have to have an extreme understanding that he may be a bit more protected in this encounter, and a bit more closed off, than in the competition in June. “He will make a very important choice and is under pressure that few can understand,” Solbakken said when asked by Dagbladet.
The national team manager pointed out that Haaland and PSG striker Kylian Mbappe are among the most attractive football players of today, and the whole world is following suit.
Among other things, Mbappe is on Real Madrid’s wish list. This summer, both Haaland and Mbappe could change clubs.
– Every word and every sentence he utters is reversed, so translation to other countries might be a bit speculative. He’s so observant that he has to make that decision, whether it’s tomorrow, in three months or five months, Solbakken said.
