Over time, the new team wanted to enter the most prestigious e-sports series in the world, including the official F1 virtual championship.
Tomáš Enge, one of the most famous Czech auto racing drivers, opens a new chapter in his career in motorsport. The first and so far the only Czech F1 driver, who has also taken part in a number of other races (not just circuits), has now formed an e-sports team that he will join to take part in this year’s sim racing.
“Virtual and real motorsports have a lot in common. Only the truly best win, and that’s where our ambitions are headed. That’s why, in our inaugural season, we reached out to riders who met our expectations with their approach and results so far.,” said Tomáš Enge, owner and executive director of the Tomáš Enge SIM Racing team.
At the same time, Enge chose competitors for his team who had achieved great success. The leader of the lineup will be 24-year-old Lukáš Přáda, who belongs to the Czech virtual racing elite. He has a number of accolades from international competition, but last year he dominated the Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP series, where he had been runner-up the year before.
Another member of the team is Slovak rider Adam Pilo, who is two years his junior, who is considered a rising Czechoslovak e-sports star. After all, he has dominated the qualification for the Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP during the inaugural season. Twenty-year-old Jan Hujíček, who has consistently finished in the top ten of the WRC global eSports championships for the last 2 years, will focus mainly on rally competitions.
The involvement of top racers is made possible by the support of strong partners. One of them is the Czech company ALL4SIM, which has more than 15 years of experience in virtual racing and organizing professional e-sports tournaments. Other partners include Bony Academy, Coinfy, and many others.
Tomáš Enge, who is also involved in simracing and recently took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual race, will serve as driver coach in addition to being team leader. Martin Viďourek will be the sporting and technical manager.
The main field of activity of the Tomáš Enge SIM Racing team this year is the prestigious Czech-Slovak championship on the Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP iracing platform, which, thanks to the cooperation with the Mercedes-Benz brand and the live broadcast of O2 TV Sport, has set high standards in organizing events exciting and high-quality races.
The twelve-part series will be further divided into two parts. The first will be completed by the driver in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car, the second in a Dallara F3 Mercedes single-seaters. Big changes await the official companion series to the World Rally Championship, and even the participants themselves don’t have much information yet. According to assumptions, it should start in May on a completely new platform.
In the future, the Tomáš Enge SIM Racing team hopes to participate in the most prestigious e-sports series in the world, such as the Le Mans Virtual Series or the F1 virtual championship. “One of our team’s long-term goals is to bring the Czech simracer to the official F1 virtual championship. This means through a qualifying network involving more than half a million players from around the world,Tomáš Enge outlines his vision for the future.
