On April 27 at 18:30, a new all-area station with an unusual name is scheduled to start A11. It gets its name from the company that owns it. However, this program is not entirely new: it builds on the former RegionálníTelevize.cz, or Our Region TV, as the station has been known since last fall.
While the principle of broadcasting previously was four-hour regional reports, the new scheme with a new name is more reminiscent of classic full-screen television.
That is why the station entered the national DVB-T2 Multiplex 23 of České radiokomunikace. Therefore it is broadcast on the same network as, for example, TV Seznam or Nova Cinema. The network is tuned by 99.7% of the population of the Czech Republic. The station is in the position previously marked Test-2, so most TVs will tune in automatically. Otherwise, just run a new debug.
A11 is also available through all major satellite, cable and IPTV operators such as Vodafone TV (position 142 – Our territory)T-Mobile TV (starting with S plan) or SkyLink (current position labeled Our Region). O2 TV is currently negotiating the inclusion of the station. If someone is unable to watch A11 TV, they can also call infoline 775 007 202 for advice. Streaming will also be available on the official website of the television station.
The image resolution is 960×540 pixels, so stations are not broadcast in HD resolution.
What will A11 broadcast?
“On the first day, we start with a headline section which will be moderated by Bára Hlaváčková, we will also show a documentary Everest – The hardest waytalk show Jarda Dušek and the Narcos series,” A11 marketing director Jan Kulich describes the evening program on April 27 for DigiZone.
Regional news coverage from across the Czech Republic will remain on the air. Reports, invites, reviews and news from cities, towns and villages will not only be in the main half-hour news sessions, but throughout the day.
The regional program scheme was created in collaboration with the editors of the free regional newspaper Náš. “I am pleased that even within the framework of the new program structure emphasis will be placed on regional reporting,” said director Eva Stejskalová.
But news from cities and regions will be supplemented by new creations, interviews, foreign series, feature films and “entertainment for all generations”. This would be, for example, the journalistic magazine Zaostřeno, the unconventional talk show Světlá hodinka with Jaroslav Dušek, the entertainment program Mladý svět or journalist Josef Klíma’s series about 90s crime.
“I am pleased that a new platform is being created for viewers and for us – creators, journalists. I myself created this cycle of closed stories for television, which will certainly interest viewers,” commented Josef Klíma about the collaboration.
Moderators
The program on this new TV will be accompanied by Jan Januš, Tomáš Zemánek and Jitka Kačánová. For example, Bára Hlaváčková, who previously worked at TV Seznam, will be featured in the main news section.
In April, television held a casting call for presenters, including this year’s Miss Fitness Czech Republic and Slovakia finalists who participated in it. “Most likely one of the beauties will soon appear behind the desk of the A11 station presenter. Miss Fitness CR and SR and Czech Miss Online 2018 finalist Aneta Mitušinová has a great opportunity,” A11 announced last week.
Specifically for the series, only Narcos is discussed, the film is from French production. A11 TV is also ready to compete for broadcasting rights on I. and II. Czech Football League. The bid was said to be “competitive” with the major established television stations.
“You can look forward to the involvement of artificial intelligence, which the A11 will present as the only one in the whole country. At the same time, you will meet familiar faces as well as unsung newcomers, to whom A11 is more than happy to give them their foray into the media world,” the television coaxed.
“The A 11 media group successfully built the unique project of the Náš region newspaper and in recent years added dozens of print and web titles or successful events. Now is the time to take our business one step further. A11 TV will offer entertainment and news for everyone, and we are absolutely sure that it will find its place among viewers,” said the director and founder of media group A11, Aleš Zavoral.
In the future, more thematic channels will be added to A11 TV, also in free-to-air television.
Television A11 is located in the Košířská brána project, where, in addition to a large newsroom, there is also a generous television studio. It was completed in April, when the entire media group moved into a new building on the border of Smíchov and Košíř Prague.
