Mateusz Morawiecki takes part in the 12th edition of the Grand Projects Congress of Poland at the Royal Palace in Warsaw. This is the largest gathering of conservative experts, opinion-formers and political circles in Poland. The main topics of the PWP congress were: the war in Ukraine, the relationship between the superpowers and the Three Seas, the decline of the liberal economy and the new conservatism, the EU system, the development of artificial intelligence and many Polish Free Nations.
During the three days of the congress, 11 discussion panels were planned. The prime minister participated in the first of the so-called “Wars come to Europe – Are we living in a new era”. – The one who is self-sacrificing, who has more determination and courage wins. It’s not just technical strength, technological superiority and not just money that counts – starting from the beginning Morawiecki.
Mateusz Morawiecki: We are probably in the most important chapter in history since World War II
The head of government stressed that “history has certainly accelerated and may have brought about better times, but it has also ended tragically”. – Today, especially from those responsible for running the country, we expect key decisions, determination and courage. Because we are probably at the most important turn in history since World War II, the politician insisted.
Morawiecki recalls that “the Ukrainian nation heroically defended both its own freedom, but also ours, as well as its raison d’etat and that of Europe”. – Europe must get out of this geopolitical slumber – stressed the prime minister. The head of government wondered what could be done to make Poland a big project. According to Morawiecki, “it should be embedded in a major European project”.
Polish Grand Projects Congress. Prime Minister on Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin
– The war we are fighting will redefine Europe, and possibly the whole world. Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin sift through the worst of modern history – nationalism, imperialism and colonialism. They want to revive the idea of Great Russian imperialism, destroy the Ukrainian nation under the slogans of de-Nazification and even de-Ukraine, the politician said.
The prime minister said that “if Europe loses this fight, it will never be the same”. – We Poles understand the history of this moment – he added. According to Morawiecki, “it is our responsibility for this spirit of history to persist in Europe and shape the world further”. – May Europe not be afraid and brave. I wish you the courage to think and act. Courage does not die, he concluded.
