TUESDAY MORNING PAVLA PROCHÁZKY
Initially, in my column today, I would like to address the fact that VAR, especially in the Czech Republic and especially in the matches of several clubs, uncompromisingly exposes the shortcomings and obsolescence of today’s rules, stuck in a hundred years ago, sometime in the early twentieth century. -20. And how responsible the people in world football’s leadership are who can change that, they are desperately trapped in their bubble. However, a Facebook call from the Vice President of the District Football Association (OFS) in eské Budějovice, Jiří Malý, postponed my Tuesday plans until later. eské Budějovice OFS comes with an important challenge “We ask the club to help the children, accepting boys and girls from Ukraine among themselves!”
It says:
“During the war in Ukraine, nearly fifty children have been killed to date (new statistics speak almost double – author’s note). Hundreds of thousands more are crammed into shelters or waiting in their homes for fear of the fate that awaits them. Should be the moral obligation of every human being to help the children who have escaped that hell.Without toys, friends, relatives…
It is possible to help financially, materially, spiritually, but the greatest help for children is when they can forget for a while, when they can play carefree again.
Some clubs have made new friends. To make this assistance effective, OFS in collaboration with the city government will coordinate the involvement of children in the club.
We ask all the clubs in our district to respond to the e-mail of jmaly.fotbal@gmail.com with offers of the possible entry of boys and girls to their football parties. If the club is part of a physical education unit, we will be happy to offer other sports. Then we will contact you, discuss possible coverage of assistance, number of children for each age group.
The OFS project coordinator eské Budějovice is the deputy chairman Jiří Malý (777 204 679).
Thank you for helping the children.”
That this is not a false challenge, let TJ Mokré be an example (see photo) in the eské district of Budějovice, who announced:
“Two new friends have joined us today. Míša and Andrej, two boys who had to leave their home in Ukraine with their mother. Together with the great parents of our players, we gave them sports equipment, and there were also gifts The mothers said they were very grateful for the great welcome and looked forward to further training.
A challenge for the whole Czech
The call from OFS eské Budějovice should be an example for all not only district but also regional football associations, as well as for FACR headquarters in Strahov. And of course for other related sports in the Czech Sports Union (ČUS).
A major Czech football club can and should join We have been informed that the physical education unit of SK Slavia Prague has made a place for refugees in Eden.
However, the call in eské Budějovice is about active assistance, about the integration of the small Ukrainian footballer into the club. Quick elimination of any possible administrative problems (with registration of minor football players from Ukraine, etc.) should become commonplace.
Therefore, the editors of the magazines efotbalu.cz and HATTRICK join the OFS eské Budějovice call and call for its expansion throughout Czech football and sport:
“Acknowledge Ukrainian boys and girls to your football/sports party. Help them forget, at least for a moment, their suffering caused by the devastating war in their country.”
League in VAR: Pilsen takes the lead thanks to Slavia’s fall on the threshing floor and no-nonsense video practice, where the one who saw the worst decides
