70,759 have now cast early votes in Bergen.
The number was equivalent to 30.5 percent of the initial vote at the end of Thursday. Today (Friday) is the last day you have the opportunity to pre-vote.
Throughout Thursday alone, 8,336 people put their ballots in the ballot box.
Here can see where it is possible to vote in advance in Bergen.
On election day, you can only vote in the city where you were registered on June 30.
If the number of early votes were the same today (Friday) and the turnout was the same as in 2019, then we would have exactly 50 percent of the early vote among those who actually voted in Bergen.
Never before have so many Norwegians voted first in a municipal election.
– Today is the last chance to pre-vote, and it will be very interesting to see how high we get in the end. The most important thing for us is that voters exercise their right to vote, either by voting in advance or by voting on election day, said communications advisor Tore Bø Nyland at the Norwegian General Elections Directorate for NTB.
So far 1.12 million people have voted. This number increased by almost 32 percent from the previous regional elections in 2019, NTB reported.
