The reflectors eventually formed a heart covering an area of 130 square meters, which is a new record. Bergen held the previous record, which was around 80 square meters.

But with rain all afternoon, many feared all their heart reflexes would be lost. And the fire brigade was contacted with a request if they could help.

– We don't mind praying, and go to Torvet. There we installed a 25 meter 2.5 inch fire hose and filled it with water. It works well as a water diversion, said fire chief Trond Abrahamsen.

Despite the heavy rain, that huge heart reflex grew by the hour.

The Swedish Road Administration, Vestfold County Council, Tønsberg-livet, Vestfold Kollektivtrafikk and Trygg Trafikk are behind the action.

Starting the next day, namely Friday, schools, kindergartens and others who need reflexes are invited to come and pick them up at Torvet. The remaining reflectors must be distributed by VKT in the bus.
