Vikings escaped a scare – Pellegrino scored four goals for Glimt
It started very well for Viking, who led 2-0 against Sandefjord after 16 minutes. Scores from Yann-Erik de Lanlay and Lars Jørgen Salvesen confirmed that.
The game seems to be over for relegation-threatened Sandefjord. However, Hans-Erik Ødegaard’s troops still didn’t give up, and before halftime they managed to equalize the score at 2-2. First, Franklin Daddy’s Boy Nyenetue scored a goal himself, before assisting Danilo Al-Saed.
Viking are at the top of the Eliteserien and fighting for the club’s first league gold medal since 1991. They won’t give up on that dream just yet. The reason is that the three points remain in Stavanger.
Salvesen scored again, before returning hero Samuel Adegbenro made it 4-2. It didn’t matter much for Sandefjord when Alexander Ruud Tveter scored a consolation goal from the penalty spot before the end of the game.
– I would describe it as a messy match. We must have complete control. I don’t know if we become a little indifferent and think we’re better than we really are. “We got the goals we needed, but in the end it was very interesting,” Salvesen told TV 2 after the match.
Pellegrino scored four goals
Bodø/Glimt were just two points behind in the standings and with the help of four(!) goals from Amahl Pellegrino they secured the three points against Vålerenga.
Glimt took the lead against Vålerenga after just one minute on Pellegrino. Torgeir Børven soon equalized, but Pellegrino’s two new goals made it 3-1 to the hosts.
The guest from Oslo was once fielded by Andrej Ilic, but the current player is named Amahl Pellegrino. In overtime, it improved to 4-2.
– Delicious! I’ve never scored four goals at the top level before. “I’ve been waiting a long time for that,” Pellegrino joked to TV 2.
Glimt still kept pace with the Vikings in the top eight league rounds before the end of the season.
