The head of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that such a decision was possible thanks to the construction of transport corridors by Poland.

“Unfortunately, with the decision of September 15 this year, the European Commission started to damage transport corridors, and these corridors are very important for our five frontline countries,” the minister said.
However, he assured that Poland will continue to build these corridors because this is good for Polish farmers, Ukraine, the European Union and even the whole world, as grain from Ukraine should be channeled to areas that are in short supply.
September 15 of this year the European Commission decided not to extend the embargo on Ukrainian grain and agricultural products, while the Minister of Development and Technology Waldemar Buda then signed a regulation banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine “due to the European Commission’s wrong decision not to extend the grain embargo from the AU .” The regulations came into effect at midnight on September 16. In response, Ukrainian authorities filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against Poland (as well as Hungary and Slovakia, which, like Poland, maintain an embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products).
