The star duo returned to Norway before the decisive match
There Stolsmo Hegerberg, Caroline Graham Hansen and Guro Reiten were all ruled out of Norway’s doubles tie against France at the end of October.
In early December, the Nations League group stage will conclude, with a home match against Portugal on December 1 and an away match against Austria on December 5.
National team coach Leif Gunnar Smerud announced his squad for the two games on Monday, and Graham Hansen and Hegerberg returned after injury.
– If you look at what they are providing for the club now, Caroline is in excellent form, and Ada is definitely on her way back. There are two class players, said Smerud.
Reiten is not in the squad, as two of Brann’s players, Marthine Ă˜stenstad and Justine Kvaleng Kielland, have both been selected and will probably get their first caps for Norway.
– The horse is training again after an ankle injury, and is not ready. This collection came too soon, Smerud said.
Although Norway now has no chance of qualifying for the play-offs and thus any chance of reaching the Olympics, there are very important games to avoid relegation.
– In my opinion, it seems good to play those matches here. “I’m confident we’ll get the points we need,” Smerud said.
Norway is currently ranked last of the four countries in the group, but with a win in its last two matches, Norway can finish as second in the group and thus remain at level A.
They also have the option to remain in level A if they finish third in the group, but in this case they will have to qualify for relegation against the group runners-up from level B.
Norway has two points after four games so far in the group.
