Sander Sagosen married – VG

STAR KISS: Hanna Bredal Oftedal and Sander Sagosen to victory during the European Championships in Trondheim 2020.

On Saturday, handball star Sander Sagosen (26) got his “queen” at Hanna Bredal Oftedal (27).

– Just married my queen, wrote Sagosen in one Instagram storywhere he and Oftedal show off the rings, night to Sunday.

Sagosen fractured his ankle in early June, and has since undergone successful surgery.

In an interview with VG a week and a half ago, he said that his wedding might not go as planned.

– It’s one of the toughest things about it all. Everything I missed on the handball field might come to me later. But I hope I will marry only once in my life, Sagosen told VG.

– I think I should marry on crutches. I can’t force my feet. Then there will probably be wheelchairs throughout the evening hours. So that I can join the party a bit too.

Sagosen also said many honeymoon plans were delayed due to the damage.

Hanna Bredal Oftedal herself had international matches in handball, but had to retire due to a foot injury in 2019. She is the younger sister of Stine Bredal Oftedal’s women’s national team.

SILVER PARTY: Sander Sagosen and Hanna Bredal Oftedal in the afterparty after Norway won the silver medal of the 2019 World Cup.

The summer will be largely spent in Norway recovering from the injury to Sagosen, who believes he will receive the best follow-up in the world at the Olympic Summit.

Trndelag club team Kiel estimate that the 26-year-old will be sidelined from the handball field for six to eight months.

– Six to eight months is the “worst case”. It’s a long time. With a good follow-up, I look forward to making the necessary effort for the next few months. Then I came back sooner than that, Sagosen told VG in mid-June.

Sagosen was previously named the world’s best handball player, and is certainly a player that Norway wants in the team at this winter’s World Cup.

The World Cup starts on January 13, in six and a half months.

– Of course I really want to be part of the World Cup. That’s the way. But now I don’t spend a lot of calories on it. First I need to be healed, “fit” and pain free. Then I can start thinking about getting out on the court again,” Sagosen said in an interview with VG.
