Lawyer Andrej Babi has stressed for several years that the prime minister’s son was unable to provide evidence to the police in the apí hnízdo case due to illness. However, the situation has changed in recent days.
In the past week, Andrej Babiš Jr. gave his testimony both in the subsidy case and in the case of his forced deportation to the Crimea, where he emerged as the aggrieved party.
To strengthen his position before investigators, he was first checked for health by a forensic expert. There are two reports – one in psychiatry, the other in psychology.
He’s ready for the police
The list of reports looks into the documents and discovers who prepared the assessment and what the experts actually handled.
From a psychiatric examination point of view, on September 11, Babiš Jr. received an outpatient report from doctor Džamila Stehlíková, former minister of human rights, who is still politically active – she is the head of the Liberal Environment Party (LES) .
He actually stated that there was nothing to prevent Junior from participating in the investigation of the case. “From the point of view of professional psychiatry, there are currently no contraindications to the active participation of the foregoing (meaning Pig junior, editor’s note) in criminal proceedings, and there is no doubt about his true ability to participate effectively in such proceedings.” said the psychiatrist.
The medical report cited was provided by Babiš jnójri to criminal investigators this Monday, as he testified at the National Center against Organized Crime (NCOZ) in the apí hnízdo case.
The former minister who worked in Mirko Topolánek’s government between 2007 and 2009, would not comment on the editor’s questions. “Sorry, but I can’t comment on this case,” he told Seznam Zprávám. Similarly, Babi’s lawyers did not want to explain why they chose him to prepare the report.
He has no abnormalities
Andrej Babiš Jr. he also received a forensic expert assessment from the head of the Department of Pedagogy and Applied Discipline at JE Purkyně University (UJEP) Slavomil Fischer. Right behind him Babiš Jr. he went to stí nad Labem in early September, where he later met his father at the start of the ANO campaign in a hotel above the city.
What exactly does the Fischer psychologist deal with? “Assessment of personality structure, personality assumptions from the point of view of social self-realization and overall social functioning, in relation to the ability to fulfill tasks and social requirements in a necessary manner,” lawyer Babi František Vyskočil told Seznam Zprávám.
Junior received a positive response. “No mental disorders or illnesses were detected. The person mentioned is not mentally ill, his condition is normal from a psychological point of view,” psychologist Fischer said in the three-page report, which will be complemented by a comprehensive protocol for police in the coming days.
Psychologists do not respond to questions from the News List.
Waiting for the plaintiff
Health status of Andrej Babiš Jr. was a pivotal moment in the development of the investigation into the apí hnízdo case, in which police accused Prime Minister Andrej Babi and former Agroferta manager Jana Mayerová (Nagyová) of subsidy fraud.
One of the lawyers, Josef Bartončík, who represented Mayerová, questioned the junior’s health condition during the current interrogation. In this context, she confronts him with a medical report that is about six years old, which is based on the file. And they come from when, according to some doctors, he was sick.
Pigš Jr. himself published part of this health report on his Twitter. One of them, for example, describes the situation when he ended up in the Mental Hospital in Havlíčková Brod in 2015.
When asked directly by the editor, Bartončík did not deny that he had questioned the health condition of the prime minister’s son during the interrogation. However, he simply stated that he could not comment on the course of the interrogation, as he was bound by secrecy.
Pigš Jr. has submitted to the police (and will submit a protocol for one of the assessments in the next few days) documents certifying he is healthy. At the same time, at the end of the week, police officer Tomáš Hádek must submit the dossier to prosecutor Jaroslav aroch. It will only depend on him how he will approach the testimony of Andrej Babis Jr. – namely whether he will consider his words when deciding the case of apí hnízdo.
“Unfortunately, I cannot comment in more detail on matters related to the ongoing or planned actions. However, on a general level, the expert opinion of the witnesses and their level of credibility is nothing special,” added Aleš Cimbala, a spokesman for the prosecutor’s office. Prague.
