Bad news has come from abroad regarding Czech striker Jakub Voráček. According to information from The Athletic’s official website, there is a high probability that Voracek will end his career due to frequent concussions.
The 33-year-old winger hasn’t played sharp in a month, the last time he appeared on the ice was on November 4 against Colorado.
The reason for his absence was the concussion he suffered in a match against the Avalanche during the NHL Global Series in Finland.

The Blue Jackets released a statement on their official website on Friday, which according to doctors had advised the Czech international not to play hockey until his remaining symptoms had subsided.
“We don’t expect a solution anytime soon. We will give Jake as much time as he needs because his long-term health is the most important factor in this case,” said Columbus general manager Jarmo Kekäläinen.

Voráček has suffered concussions several times during his career. In 2017, for example, he missed the World Cup match in France against Finland.
