– I’m fine, the Rabbi wrote on Instagram on Sunday evening. In the images, she is lying in a hospital bed, at which point her dramatic EC day comes to an end.

Although he is fine, everything is not as it should be. He will not be sent home on Sunday.

– Won’t be discharged, should be in hospital for a few days, he wrote in a message to NRK.

In an official statement by the Norwegian Athletics Federation on Sunday evening, it was stated that Rabi would be staying for a few days for observation at a hospital in Turin.

– According to his condition, Rabi is fine, but the hospital wants to keep him under observation for a few days, sports manager Erlend Slokvik said in a press release.

– Rabbi is feeling good. Had it been up to him, he might have been sent home. But they want to be absolutely certain that nothing’s wrong, and we’ll confirm that tomorrow.

Rabi ran for silver in last year’s EC cross country race and he is one of the big favorites to win the junior class in this year’s championship. From the start, there was a four-runner group that got an early break, but Rabi caught up. However, after about six and a half minutes, it stopped. Delivered to the hospital

Rabi was taken further into the medical tent, where various tests were carried out. About an hour and a half after he passed out, Rabi was taken to the hospital.

– It’s common for someone to faint without us knowing the cause. It’s routine. He was fine, Koren said.

He said that Rabi did not remember fainting and he was disappointed.

– Is there a fear that it is something serious?

– No, we’re not afraid of that. But we wanted to carry out a thorough examination, so he was taken to a hospital that has adequate equipment for further examinations.

England’s Will Barnicoat won the junior class after a superb final sprint, narrowly ahead of Nicholas Griggs, who was completely stiff on the run.

Esten Hansen-Møllerud Hauen was the best Norwegian in seventh place, 27 seconds behind Barnicoat.

Silver for Østgård

In the women’s junior class, Ingeborg Østgård took silver for the second year in a row after a strong finish. Maria Forero of Spain won, three seconds ahead of Østgård.

– It stretches pretty fast. I was behind on purpose, because I knew the last hill was tough, he told NRK.
