Leo Østigård had to watch from the bench as his Napoli team-mates beat Juventus. Kvaratskhelia, who is the big star of Norway’s EC qualifying rivals Georgia, scored one goal and set up three others.
– The team kept pace all the time and played a great game, Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti told DAZN.
– It was a beautiful night, mainly because of the audience. The Neapolitans have always supported us, but this team has increased the love for the club.
Juventus come into the game very confident after eight straight wins without conceding a single goal. Federico Chiesa started for the first time since tearing his cruciate ligament just over a year ago, but Napoli ruined the day for the visitors.

Osimhen nodded in lead in the 14th minute. Wojciech Szczesny brilliantly saved Kvaratskhelia’s acrobatic scissor kick but the centre-forward was in front of the rebound. It was Juventus’ first late goal in 770 minutes of play.
After hitting the crossbar from the visitors Angel Di Maria, Kvaratskhelia doubled the advantage on a cross from Osimhen in the 39th minute. World Cup winner Di Maria reduced the score for Juventus just before half-time but it was only a consolation goal.
In the 56th minute, Amir Rrahmani added after receiving a corner from Kvaratskhelia. Nine minutes later, Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen collaborated again, and Osimhen finished 4-1. The job was finished when a finish from Elif Elmas changed course and beat Szczesny. This is the first time in almost 30 years that Juventus have conceded five goals in a league game.

Napoli are chasing their first league championship since the two clubs won in 1987 and 1990 with Diego Maradona in the team.
– There is still a long way to go. We have to keep winning our games and not worry too much about what other people are doing. We will do what the coach says and keep collecting points, said Osimhen.
Milan can reduce Napoli’s gap to seven points with a win over Lecce on Saturday. Juventus are in third place with the same number of points as Milan.
