Pařížská Street in Prague has once again become one of the 20 most expensive shopping streets in the world based on rent. It even ranked first in Central and Eastern Europe, and eleventh in all of Europe. This follows a new ranking from consulting firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Cushman & Wakefield compared a total of 49 countries in the world based on achieving the highest rents on the most expensive shopping streets. The ranking always displays one of the most expensive roads from each country.
The Czech Republic is the only country in Central and Eastern Europe ranked in the top twenty. The closest is Hungary in 30th place. Slovakia is ranked 42nd, followed by Serbia, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria.
“Pařížská Street in Prague has long been a key target for luxury brands entering the Central and Eastern Europe region,” said Jan Kotrbáček, partner and head of the retail space leasing team for Central and Eastern Europe at Cushman & Wakefield.
According to him, Prague is a very popular destination for luxury brands in Europe. “Pařížská Street creates a truly unique location for the presentation of luxury goods. This street and its surroundings are the most beautiful and compact luxury destination in Central Europe and have the widest brand representation,” explains the expert.
