Last weekend, guests of the Great Polish Project Congress in Warsaw were Professor Patrick J. Deneen, political philosopher, former lecturer at Princetown and Georgetown universities, and now Notre Dame, who is considered one of the most important contemporary conservative thinkers in the US. His book Why Liberalism Failed? (Why did Liberalism Fail?) From 2018 it became a world bestseller, translated into several languages, including Polish. It is also recommended by Barack Obama because it is an in-depth study of the crisis of contemporary liberalism.
After returning from Poland to the US, Patrick J. Deneen posted the following entry on Twitter:
Beautiful Saturday morning in Warsaw. Many young families walk with their children on the street. No herbal smell. pure. neat. Cities don’t have to be miserable septic tanks of human waste. (Warsaw/Portland, one month apart)”
The comparison of Warsaw to Portland, seen in the two photos posted by Professor Deneen, clearly supports the Polish capital. Did anyone think until recently that America, after visiting our country, would set it as an example for its compatriots?
