Guyton died on Monday, aged just 33, some international media reported.
He played for a number of clubs in the Super Rugby League in New Zealand. Guyton was forced to retire in 2018 due to side effects from the concussion.
Grief club
– It is with great sadness that we hear about the passing of Billy Guyton. “Billy is a much loved member of our entire Tasman Rugby Union team and makes a positive impact on those who play and coach him,” the Tasmanian Rugby Union wrote on Twitter. Guyton has 52 caps for Tasmania.

Headache all day
The symptoms following the concussion meant Guyton was unable to play with his daughter and decided it was time to leave rugby.
Guyton said he had had headaches all day after training and felt very tired.
– Life after rugby is starting to become so much more important now, which is my main reason for quitting the sport, It was a brutal and hard decision to make, I still hate that I had to do it, but I know it’s best for my health and my family, he said in an interview in 2018, according Daily mail.
