ULLEVAAL (Dagbladet): On Tuesday morning, the Swedish Athletics Federation selected the national team for the upcoming season.
The big question ahead is whether Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who is of course a self-written name on the list, takes his brothers Henrik and Filip with him. Jakob has explained to TV 2 that for him it is “all brothers in the national team or nothing.”
Two hours before today’s announcement, TV 2 made it clear that Henrik Ingebrigtsen’s older brother would not be part of the national team as an athlete.
He was instead paid by the union in the role of coordinator around Tim Ingebrigtsen, writes Television 2.
This was also confirmed by the athletic association at the outlet, Tuesday.
There, top sports official Håvard Tjørhom confirmed that Sondre Nordstad Moen and Martin Roe were out of the senior national team.
– We are trying to arrange a follow-up for them. Even if they haven’t taken a claim, we’ll help look at them further, says Tjørholm.
Markus Rooth, Sander Aae Skotheim, Jacob Boutera, Henrik Flåtnes, Pål Haugen Lillefosse and Skjalg Kongssund will be part of the national team in the 2023 season.
