A Skinchecker tent will be set up in the center of Brno for two days in May, where experts will provide those interested in mole prevention checks. This free service is also open to citizens of Ukraine, whose translators will be available on site.
The first week of May will take place in Brno as a sign of prevention. Awareness of the most common malignant tumor disease in the Czech Republic will begin on Náměstí Svobody, on Tuesday, 3 May and on Wednesday, 4 May. In front of the tent, fans can wait for the tour from nine to five in the afternoon. “Statistics show that if skin cancer is diagnosed early, up to ninety percent of all melanomas can be cured. The examination itself is painless, and only takes a few minutes.” he explained Alice DosedlovaSmart Pharmacy network director.
Experts will also advise people on how to behave in the sun and how to care for their skin based on their phototype. Inadequate protection from the sun increases the risk of skin cancer. In 2018 and 2019, dermatologists at Náměstí Svobody examined more than 2,500 people, where they found more than two dozen cases of cancer.
Ukrainians can also attend this year’s event. “Ukrainian-Czech translator will be available on site at all times for them,” added Dosedlova.
