The General Assembly of the Czech Banking Association elects a new leader. Banks and building institutions thus have new representatives on the Presidium and Board of Trustees of BA. They were elected to positions for those years. 6 senior representatives from 32 banks in Lena were elected to the Presidium. They then choose a leader among themselves.
The last year brought a lot of trouble to the bank. If at the same time we experience high inflation, let’s note a decrease in household consumption or an increase in investment costs. While 2023 has been difficult in many ways, that is no reason for great pessimism. The Czech Republic needs to invest quickly to fight for its place on the European and world economic and business scene, to Jan Juchelka, chairman of the board and general editor of Komern banka.
The Czech banking system is very stable. Czech banks have strong capital and adequate liquidity. This is how we support our clients and remain a strong sector even in times of economic depression. The role of the esk bank association in this case is crucial and irreplaceable. I approach the leadership of the association with great respect, where I will focus with other colleagues from the presidium on deepening dialogue and cooperation between the private sector, the state and regulators, and on the topics of digitalisation, innovation and sustainability. The Association has come a long way in recent years, we have something to build on, dby Juchelek.
The BA Supervisory Board will have 4 members by the fifth election term.
