The fire crisis continues after new losses: – Pretty awful
Rosenborg took control early on in their away meeting with Brann in Toppserien and the visitors from Trondheim beat last year’s league champions 4-1.
Brann embellished the statistics of goals and chances towards the end of the match, but a single score was little more than the decoration of the result for Brann.
– I don’t know what to say or what to say. Very frustrating and frankly very challenging to stand on, Brann goalkeeper Aurora Mikalsen told NRK.
Last year Brann crushed Toppserien and took series gold.
– What’s the contrast with standing here now at Stemmemyren and conceding four goals at home?
– This is really awesome. Absolutely amazing. At the same time, this is a new season, a new project, a new group. We also have to work on our process and not compare ourselves to last year, said Mikalsen.
A score by Emilie Nautnes, a double by Anna Jøsendal and a Brann own goal put Rosenborg 4-0 up just before the hour mark.
– We struggled a bit in creating chances, but today I feel we will get a good result, Jøsendal told NRK.
– I think we hit them and I’m very satisfied with what the girls did today, Rosenborg coach Steinar Lein told NRK.
Nautnes scored and Jøsendal’s first goal came early in the first half, while an own goal and Jøsendal’s second came early in the second half. In the 87th minute, Marit Bratberg brought on Lund for the hosts.
Brann is currently without a coach, after the club parted ways with Olli Harder in early May.
– They have the important task now of finding a new coach, getting players back healthy and fast, and then they have to build from there, says NRK football expert Carl-Erik Torp.
