Campaigners, who demand that the windmill at Fosen in Trøndelag be demolished, have blocked a total of ten ministries’ entrances over the past week. However, now they feel that the problem is getting the government’s attention, and end their action. This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the campaign, Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen.
– We are stopping the action today, on condition that the windmill is dismantled, and the land is returned to Fosen Sami.

Fosen campaigners protested that more than 500 days have passed since the Supreme Court ruled that 151 wind turbines on the Fosen Peninsula in Trøndelag were illegal without mitigation measures.
Hætta Isaksen told Dagbladet that campaigners have been feeling the decision to end the campaign for the last few days.
– We feel indebted to everyone who has participated to finish it before people get exhausted. Today it felt right to go to the last agency, namely the King in Council, to apply the final pressure on the government to make them keep the promise they made yesterday, said Hætta Isaksen.
He said the campaign was tough.

The end of the action will be marked by a silent demonstration outside the Castle.
On Friday morning, a larger demonstration will also be held at Eidsvolls park outside the Storting.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) and Minister of Oil and Energy Terje Aasland (Ap) apologized to reindeer herders in Fosen.

Hætta Isaksen said that the apology was long overdue, and that they now had a much better basis for solving the problem. However, they are prepared to take action again, if that doesn’t happen.
– Allowed to cry. It is allowed to smile. For what we have done, we should be very proud. The government must not forget what happened here. They must remember the power that is within us, and we must watch them in the future. It’s very important that they don’t let us down again. And we are ready to take action.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has breakfast with deer owners Friday morning.
