– I wish the Norwegian media successfully to cooperate until a new and separate platform

Name: Ken Andre Ottesen

Age: 47 years old

Score: Running the Instagram account «BAdesKen».

Relevant: Recently quit my job as a security manager at VG.

– Where did the holidays go this year?

– I’ll never know, but so far I’ve attended weddings in Scotland, cup football in Sogndal, fishing holidays on the coast of Trøndelag and short trips to Tysnesfest. And I GUARANTEE to Toten.

– You have quit your job at VG. What are you going to do now, is it going to be a full time BAdesKen?

– Yes, now I’m just going to be a full-time BAdesKen. A lot of people might think it’s weird to quit a very good regular job at VG, but I’ve always believed that you should do what’s most enjoyable. Nowadays, getting started on your own is a bit more fun than working on VG. And then it happened. I look forward to traveling around the country and entertaining companies, organizations, newsrooms, and seminars with warm local humor.

– You arranged a trip this summer and invited three guests. Who did you take with you, what did you eat and where did you go?

– Then I took Putin, Trump and an anti-waxer/pro-Russian/spirit thinker/conspiracy theorist (many to choose from here, readers can include someone they deem fit) to a very remote cabin with no internet coverage, so that they get in all the fall do not do stupidity while the journey goes on. I’ll serve rakfisk that’s three years out of date, and I’ll pretend to eat it.

– What are you good at and what are you bad at?

– I am good at seeing humor in everyday situations. The rest of my life, I’m so bad. I do not know anything. Send me a time machine to the Viking Age, and I’ll be dead in three days.

– Both mortgage rates and interest rates increased. What’s the first thing that comes out of consumption if you have to tighten your belt?

– I have to eat before going to the store. This is my best and only saving tip. No, by the way, my best saving tip is to shower with my clothes on, but have dinner in my pocket. Then you get a lot of kilowatts.

– NRK recently deleted the NRK Nyheter Facebook page with over half a million followers. Is that true and should more media follow suit?

– If someone today has suggested to the media house that they should fill a platform over which they have no control and where they don’t earn a penny with editorial content, that person will be dragged into the square and thrown rotten eggs at. I wish the Norwegian media success in collaborating on a new and separate platform that can offer national and local news without the algorithm guidance of Silicon Valley. That’s what everyone demands: Spotify for news and journalism.

Why is it okay with the fast lane at the airport, but not at Tusenfryd?

– This is really an existential question: Are some people more valuable than others? Let’s not go down that road, but just conclude that for some people, the airport is where you are on your way to work and want to get there in the simplest and most convenient way. Daisies don’t.

– Ingrid Alexandra’s 18 year old daughter and first boyfriend poster has been published. Does the Palace have to accept that the media turns every stone in the privacy of the princess?

– Yes and no. I have a very ambivalent relationship with the royal family. I’m a royalist at heart, but my head screams republican. The mystery of the royal house and its high position required some distance from the people, but at the same time too great a distance caused more resistance. The British Royal Family is a good example of how difficult this balancing act can be. Even nobles had to realize they couldn’t get into sacks and sacks. Compared to the foreign press, the Norwegian media is “kind” to the royal family. We should be happy about that. And there’s a difference between turning every stone and mentioning that the heir to the Norwegian throne has a girlfriend. This is good news!

– Who has the biggest PR job ahead of them if they want to improve their image?

– It’s easy to call Charter-Svein, but I think he’s fallen so far down the rabbit hole that he’s not interested in improving his image. I think some wealthy Norwegians have underestimated the hatred that comes to them when they move and their money between Norwegian and foreign tax havens. There was something unusual about it. We live in a society based on people giving according to their ability and receiving according to need. When someone ran away from him, people got angry. And yes, Norwegians can be long-suffering. If you have more money than you can spend, be like Trond Mohn.

– The Storting Pulpit will be yours for one day. Which issue would you like to highlight as the most important?

– Then I won’t talk about individual cases, but about politics it should be more about long lines than about pressing decisions because the media dug into several individual episodes. Politicians must have the courage to make unpopular choices. We can’t let the most violent and offended people in society control the debate. I have a pretty simple rule of thumb: Do your best every day, and also do one thing you enjoy doing in six months. I wish politicians every day to do something that Norwegians are happy to do in 20 years. It’s not those who turn over their robes after the wind, there’s a statue in the Norwegian square.
