Marcin Kierwiński admitted in the program that Roman Giertych was “a very good lawyer”. – He is definitely the perfect person to take PiS into account, because he knows PiS perfectly, because he knows the mechanisms that exist in PiS and he also knows Jarosław Kaczyński perfectly – he stressed.
— Knowledge of Kaczyński’s style of thinking, PiS’s style of thinking, may be very valuable, for example in the case of this investigative commission, says Marcin Kierwiński.
Roman Giertych may sit on the investigative committee. “Very suitable”
On Tuesday, PO leader Donald Tusk announced the creation of a committee investigating the so-called election, visa scandal and Pegasus case, as well as the dismissal of the Russian influence committee.
— I believe Roman Giertych is perfectly suited to work on one of these committees, says Marcin Kierwiński in “Poranna dziennik Gazeta.pl”.
When asked whether Giertych could become accountability coordinator for the PiS government in the Sejm, Marcin Kierwiński admitted that he had read the media speculation. — I think this coordination will be at the level of cooperation between the clubs that form the government coalition, or at the level of club leaders, he said.
Marcin Kierwiński about the investigative commission. “It must be accounted for”
The PO MP also spoke about the investigative commission announced by Donald Tusk. — These three commissions are the most obvious and the most surprising. Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke about Pegasus yesterday. This is something that cannot be discussed. The Polish government used cyber weapons against Polish citizens, he said.
– This must be taken into account. Something like this is a global scandal, he added.
Marcin Kierwiński also pointed out that we are also facing “illegal attempts to hold elections” and a visa scandal. – Here, the most important thing is not the scandal itself, although it is shocking and embarrassing, but how the state and the services under Mr. Morawiecki and Mr. Kaczyński covered up this scandal – stressed the politician.
Who will appear before the investigative commission? PO MP lists these names
PO MP included the names of former ministers in Mateusz Morawiecki’s government who he said should appear before the investigative commission into the cover of the 2020 election.
– Today, in my opinion, they should stand – Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki, Mr. Jacek Sasin, Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński, president of PWPW, president of Poczta Polska. Everyone in the Ministry of State Assets and the Prime Minister’s Chancellery signed any decisions on this matter – he said.
As the politician said, members of this committee will be responsible for preparing a list of names of people who will provide explanations to the body.
Marcin Kierwiński: Jacek Kurski had to face state authorities
Kierwiński was also asked whether it would be possible to withdraw Jacek Kurski’s candidacy at the World Bank and his return to Poland. — I believe Kurski should not have gone there. Besides, Kurski had nothing to do with banking, he said.
– We have to do everything to bring Kurski back here, and I think he should come back here. When the settlement of what happened on public television and what happened on public television property begins, I think Jacek Kurski will also have to face state authorities who will ask what he did – said Kierwiński.
The PO politician was also asked whether the NBP president, Adam Glapiński, would be taken to State Court. – We stated it very clearly, Prime Minister Donald Tusk also spoke about it, I personally think the president violated the Polish National Bank Act – he answered.
