The new season of “Camp Culinaris” is almost here where ten celebrities will test their cooking skills, and at the same time try to impress celebrity chef Kjartan Skjelde (46).

In familiar fashion, the group of participants must run a restaurant in Portør to the best of their ability, in addition to having to take on various challenges judged by Skjelde. “Camp Culinaris” premieres March 27 on Viaplay.

In season six of the food show, a number of familiar faces returned to the TV screen, but this year’s season also brought in some international names.

Swedish TV profile Ola-Conny Wallgren (59) makes a comeback on Norwegian TV. He is known to many from “Ullared” and “Out on tour with Morgan and Ola-Conny”.

This is not the first time that a Swedish TV profile has taken part in a Norwegian reality programme. She took part in the tenth season of “71 degrees north – Norway’s heaviest celebrity”, but now she is ready to cook on Norwegian TV.

Wallgren told Nettavisen that it was not uncommon to accept “Camp Culinaris”, especially since cooking is not his forte. But despite that, she spends a lot of time in the kitchen.

– I cook a lot, and hunt and fish. But I can’t make sauce, he said.

The 59-year-old became a household name in the country on the TV series “Ullared”, and since the program’s inception in 2009, Wallgren has received a lot of attention from Norway. He doesn’t hide the fact that he is very happy in Norway, and he thinks it’s great to be in the spotlight in this country.

– I feel very comfortable in Norway, and I think it’s great to be part of a Norwegian reality series.

Have no faith

Former politician Trude Drevland, 75, is no stranger to reality. When the offer for “Camp Culinaris” came, he didn’t hesitate for a second to accept it, because it meant he finally got to meet his big hero, namely chef Kjartan Skjelde.

“I love to cook, and the fact that I get to learn so much more from one of my biggest favorites is great, says Drevland.

Drevland usually prefers to spend a lot of time cooking and likes to sip a glass of wine along the way. When he’s in the kitchen he should be having fun, but it remains to be seen whether the former mayor of Bergen can carry on the busy life at “Camp Kulinaris”.

On the other hand, one person who is not too happy about spending a few hours in the kitchen is politician Bård Hoksrud (49). Although she loves food, she doesn’t hide that her kitchen skills aren’t at their best.

– I think most people who know me would think that this would go away and I wouldn’t last long. But I hope someone will be surprised, said Hoksrud.

“Camp Culinaris” was not Hoksrud’s first food program, he took part in “4 star dinner” in 2017. The FRP politician later joked that he was “warned” by his party not to appear on the program.

Hoksrud told Nettavisen that there were mixed reactions when he revealed his participation in “Camp Kulinaris” and that several Frp members “encouraged” the 49-year-old man to participate.

Summoning his greatest weakness

Actor and presenter Mutasim “Mutta” Billah (25) is used to being in front of a TV screen, but one thing he is not used to doing is working together in the kitchen. According to the 25-year-old, his biggest weakness is speed in the kitchen.

– I am very lazy and do things at my own pace, says Billah.

Time will tell how the “SKAM” actor coped with stepping in the kitchen with nine other celebrity contestants, but when the offer to participate in TV came in, he was relieved to finally have the chance to learn the art of cooking.

– I always wanted to be good in the kitchen and cook good food, but I never took the time to learn it.

Raylee artist Charlotte Kristiansen, 25, admits she’s not the greatest culinary genius, and she thinks she could learn a thing or two in food programming.

– I’m completely miserable, laughs the artist.

She does not hide that she has extensive experience in cooking, but one of the dishes she is good at is chicken and rice.
