ODS coalition, Alexandra Udženija (ODS) will govern the city hall of Prague 2 in the next election period. The parties have signed a coalition agreement and will have a narrow majority of 18 votes in the 35-member council. Udženija told TK that the coalition was formed based on the previous basic plan. The Společné – ODS and TOP 09 coalition won the municipal election in Prague 2, and Prague 2 Sob took second place.
“A coalition was formed on the same basic plan as in the last four years, even with the same people. As agreed, I will run for mayor at the council’s constitutive meeting,” said Udženija.
A constitutive meeting of representatives will only take place after all legal deadlines have expired, during which, for example, someone can challenge the election results in court.
Jana ernochová (ODS), the former mayor and current Minister of Defence, should also remain in charge of the town hall. Last December, after joining the ministry, he became a non-exempt board member for education, meaning he took no money for his position in city hall management.
ernochová was mayor from 2006 to 2010, and after a short break he returned to his position in 2012. Since 2010, he has also been a member of parliament.
The winning coalition Together – ODS and TOP 09 won 14 mandates. Prague 2 The second Sob won seven seats and the third Pirate would have seven representatives. The fourth ANO has four mandates, the SPD Movement for Prague 2 will have two representatives in fifth place. STAN won one mandate after the votes were counted. 41.79 percent of voters took part in the election.
