Successful coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad left the Vipers. The 55-year-old coach will coach Odense next season.
Gjekstad is now at his new Danish club who won the Danish championship last season and are now in 2nd place in the Danish women’s league.
– I really believe that Odense can be a club fighting for the top in the coming years. Both in Denmark and Europe, according to Gjekstad Danish Television 2.
Sandefjordingen has led Kristiansand’s team to victory in the Champions League in the last two seasons. Now he continued Funen. Norwegian national team player Maren Aardahl plays at the club along with Tonje Løseth. Malin Aune is ready for Odense from summer.

The current Odense coach, Ulrik Kirkely, will coach Hungary Györ next season with several players from the Norwegian national team at home.
Gjekstad announced in September that he would not be taking another season with the Vipers, whom he has coached since 2018. As well as two Champions League titles, the Vipers have won all the titles in Norway since Gjekstad arrived in Kristiansand.
Odense were beaten in the Champions League quarter-finals last season, while Viper Gjekstad beat the Danish champions 34-27 last fall. On January 21, he will again face Odense in the Champions League.
