Russia wants to create a humanitarian crisis
“Here, from Kiev, from the capital of a free and independent Ukraine, we call on the entire free world to support Ukraine. Russia is attacking Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, it wants to cause a major humanitarian crisis. This is a barbaric act. We will do everything in our power to fight it,” said the head of the Polish government.
He added that Poland supports Ukraine’s defense efforts and also supports humanitarian aid, because it is very important help Ukrainians survive the difficult winter months ahead.
“This war is a test for the entire international community. We can watch how people starve to death, or we can stop this situation. (…) Long live an independent Ukraine and friendship between Lithuania, Ukraine and Poland,” said Mateusz Morawiecki. “I am sure that our solidarity partnership will lead to the defeat of the barbaric attacks of Russia,” he emphasized.

He pointed out that Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports is actually a human blockade and human instinct. “Ukraine together with Poland and Lithuania, our European partners – we are doing everything in our power for that unblock Ukrainian ports to export grain from Ukraine to Africa to the Middle East,” said Morawiecki.
The Lublin Triangle is an important element for consolidating international support and counteracting Russia’s aggressive policies, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Saturday at a press conference with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and head of the Lithuanian government Ingrida Szimonyte.
“An important outcome of this meeting is the signing joint statement of the heads of government of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland, which emphasizes the significant contribution of the Lublin Triangle to the consolidation of international support for Ukraine and counteracting the aggressive policies of Russia (…)” – said Szmyhal.
