Prof. Krasnodębski: Nazi crimes are a continuation of German colonial policies – News

The main theme of this year’s “Polska Wielki Projekt” Congress is sovereignty. Adrian Klarenbach on Radio Poland 24 asked prof. Zdzisław Krasnodębski. Previously, the politician took part in sovereign panels in the context of just peace, reparations, reparations and reconciliation.

Prof. Krasnodębski: The crimes of the Nazis were a continuation of previous German policies

The broadcast guest explained that this matter needed to be reconciled and discussed. He cited events concerning reparations and compensation not only from Germany for Poland, but also for Greece – also for World War II, as well as for Namibia, which suffered greatly from Germany during the period of German colonialism.

– The resemblance is uncanny. Concentration camps were established at that time [w czasach kolonialnych – red.]. And then Germany used the same strategy, already more developed when they lost their colonies after World War I. (…) This was a colonial practice, but the Germans really stood out with this genocide, because they killed 80 percent. Herero people and 50 percent. the Namaqua people. A colleague from Greece mentioned that the German advisers were also involved in the genocide against Armenians and Greeks that was happening in Turkey, the Turks themselves would not have been able to do it. This is also unknown. And of course we also have Polish examples – says prof. Zdzisław Krasnodębski.

– Today there is a tendency to say that they were just Nazis. This crime of the Nazis was, in fact, a continuation of certain practices that were previously practiced in the colonies – adds the interlocutor of PR24.
