The updated share list of Sindre Finnes still lacks the information requested by some parties. Neither the Red Party nor the Center Party thought much about it.
This list does not include times for various trades. Finnes’ lawyer, Thomas Skjelbred, explained that “it is impossible to obtain information about trading times from financial institutions for all trades”.
That explanation doesn’t hold water, said Seher Aydar (right).
– The information we receive must be complete and correct. “It is incomprehensible to me that the list does not include times for recent trades,” Aydar told VG.
He pointed out that Finnes and his attorneys had said nothing about why they had not included a possible time for repossession.
VG has asked Finnes’ lawyer questions about this, so far there has been no answer.
The lost time slot is not only a problem for Finnes, but also for Erna Solberg and Høyre, Aydar believes.
– It became clear that the Conservative Party removed a large amount of information from the list before publication. Hiding information is the last thing necessary in this case. It would be strange for a lawyer to repair the damage done by the Conservative Party.
– I would like Erna Solberg to answer this, because she was the one who guaranteed the wrong list and it is her responsibility that we are considering.
– Starting to get a little bored
Nils T. Bjørke of the Center Party on the control committee wanted more information.
– I thought they would come with everything, when they first came. I don’t know exactly how important time is, but I’m starting to get tired of everything coming piecemeal and fragmented. This is very demanding for the committee, Bjørke told VG.
Bjørke said he would now have to take time to familiarize himself with the material – and consider whether he should ask Solberg more questions.
– This is very possible and we should consider it. But this requires reading everything and this is not done in a flash, he said.
Labor’s Frode Jacobsen on the committee did not immediately comment.
Through the party’s communications department, VG was told that it should take a closer look at the material before commenting.
Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt from the Labor Party was also in the committee’s spotlight, because her husband traded shares while he was minister.
SV: – Need to get all the information on the table
SV’s Audun Lysbakken, who sits on the control committee, said it would be a good thing if Finnes contributed to transparency on the issue.
– We need to get all the information on the table, and now we will familiarize ourselves with the material that has arrived, Lysbakken told VG.
– The most important question in this case, the extent of Erna Solberg’s disqualification, has been clarified considerably through her own statement, in which she admitted that there may have been multiple violations of disqualification.
commented Solberg
Conservative Party leader Erna Solberg said her husband had now sent a list of the shares purchased.
– This has been requested both by certain committee members and by some media outlets, and I think it would be great if he shared it, he wrote in a text message to VG.
Will kill time
Prosecutor Grunde Almeland (V) is responsible for integrity checks at the Control and Constitutional Committee of the Storting. He said it might be appropriate to ask about the time of purchase.
– If we see that in some cases it is relevant to our case to know the time, then I think it is natural that we ask for it, wrote Almeland in a text message to VG.
The committee met on Tuesday 10 October. Then they will decide whether to send Erna Solberg another question regarding the sale of her husband’s shares.
Peter Christian Frølich from Høyre heads the control committee. He believes the new list will be useful for the committee’s work.
– At first glance, there appears to be sufficient information, but time is needed to study the material and assess whether further documentation is needed.
About the Center Party and Rødt asking for time to trade, he said:
– We don’t have time from Ola Flem or Sindre Finnes. It’s up to them whether they want to provide it too. We will assess Huitfeldt and Solberg’s competence, and then the date, trade amount and purchase value are important information.
Hans Andreas Limi from FRP answered briefly:
– This is such extensive material that the committee should take the time to discuss it, he wrote to VG.
