Cyclingnews further writes that Sagan is also open to doing some road races next year, but that it won’t be at the top level.
“I think my supporters and people deserve to know now that this will be my last season on the road,” said Sagan.
Slovakia is a three-time world champion on the road and has, among other things, won 12 stages in the Tour de France, seven green points jerseys in the same race and the monumental classics Paris-Roubaix and Flanders once each.
Sagan currently races for the French team TotalEnergies, along with Edvald Boasson-Hagen, among others.
