War reparations from Germany. How much did Poland lose for World War II?
President Andrzej Duda gave an interview in the weekly “Wprost” a few days ago. The conversation raised the topic of war reparations, which has been heard a lot lately. All of this is due to the report on losses suffered by Poland as a result of German aggression and occupation during World War II, which was presented on 1 September. As calculated in the presented report, the total amount of Poland’s losses was PLN 6 trillion 220 billion 609 million, which is equivalent to USD 1 trillion 532 billion 170 million. When asked about the issue of reparations, Duda said that not only from Germany, but also from Russia, we should demand war reparations.

Andrzej Duda comments on the issue of war reparations
– Germany started the Second World War and invaded Poland. Of course, Russia joined this war later, so I believe that we should also demand reparations from Russia – he said in an interview for “Wprost”, and when asked if we would then demand reparations from Russia, the president added: we should he . I see no reason why we shouldn’t pursue this.
The chairman of the Russian Duma scares Duda?! Scandal, what is he doing!
This angered the chairman of the Russian Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin. The Russian politician on the telegram of the social network wrote: – It is appropriate for the supervisory authorities to investigate Andrzej Duda’s statement and take appropriate steps to bring him to criminal responsibility. And he added that the Russian Criminal Code provides penalties for such findings. As if that wasn’t enough, politicians judged that Duda not only “rehabilitated fascism”, but also alluded to the memory of Russians who “gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Poland”. In addition, the chairman of the Duma added that “today Poland exists as a country only thanks to our country”, namely Russia.
