Petr Veselka (ANO), mayor of Mob Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz: “Health Day in Komenské Sady is our important event. We still have problems and when the most important thing comes to us, which is health, only then do we realize how rare it is. That’s why I love the stands here, I’m going through everything and I’m very happy to be here.”
Valerie Bartosová, ifmsa: “There are actually 4 stands. The first station is nutrition therapist, the second is self-examination. You can do the test yourself if you find a lump or tumor. The next station was first aid, where they attempted resuscitation on a dummy and the last station was a teddy bear. This is a very popular attraction for kids, where we actually have a teddy bear filled with plush organs.”
Lenka Vaňková, social worker, Spirála Ostrava: “We presented our products, ranging from catering and sewing workshops which were sold and tasted at our booth, as well as presenting two of our services. Namely social rehabilitation and social therapy measures.”
Poll: Health Day Visitors: “Everything is fine because I take care of myself and check everything at home.”
“I had a great time here at the white booth about breast cancer prevention. How people have to brush their teeth properly and since I’m here with my daughter we are also looking at the dogs who are supposed to help.”
“We tried almost everything especially for the kids. They play where we get stickers, candies, so we go there.”
Visitors of all age groups found interesting information about Health Day. In particular, how to take care of your health preventively.
