Wojciech Jaruzelski’s Tomb. This is what it looks like now
Wojciech Jaruzelski it’s not located on the Avenue of Merit, but away from the main alley. His tomb is not distinguished by splendor, quite the opposite. It is simple and sober. You can’t see any ornate stone, monuments or other ornaments on it, but only simple stone slabs and plaques with names and dates. “General Wojciech Jaruzelski army 1923-2014″. Also no religious symbols on it, no cross.
By some people, he is considered a communist figure who is guilty of imposing martial law in Poland. After all, as you can see, there are also those who feel warm about him. The latter visited his grave also outside the Festival of the Dead and remembered him without any special occasion. The tomb was also visited by his daughter Monica Jaruzelskawho systematically looked after his father’s burial place. Jaruzelski came from a very religious family, and before his death he confessed, to which Fr. Adam Boniecki: – With God, nothing is removed, and Wojciech Jaruzelski confessed before his death. His decision to return to the Church was important. And, in my opinion, not easy. He manifests his distance from the Church and faith in general is too long to return easily.
