The tvN station did not object when the army was liquidated under Tusk, reserve training was radically curtailed, weapons programs disbanded, military units closed – with particular emphasis on the eastern border. They fell silent when their favorite, who was awarded a German medal, withdrew from the American anti-missile shield, because Putin “was not enthusiastic about this project”. After Smolensk, on the ashes still smoking with the bodies of 96 representatives of the Polish elite, they built friendship with Russia, and any attempts to find out the truth about this tragedy were met with vicious attacks from them. Today, when Ukrainians openly talk about Russia’s responsibility for Poland’s national tragedy, they say nothing to their viewers about it (at least I’m not aware of it). They attacked the defenses of Poland’s eastern borders, and in this respect they sounded like the propaganda of the aggressor – Lukashenko.

Instead, they vigorously attacked the Minister of National Defense, Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak. He was a politician who finally overcame years of powerlessness in expanding the armed forces, purchasing ordnance, producing ordnance, and training reservists. He took it seriously, and his best compliment was the opinion of the world press and experts that Poland would soon have the strongest ground army in Europe. In addition, the permanent component of US troops in Poland is growing.

Let’s remember: this is not a race for a prestigious title. It’s about escaping from the Russian axe. For the sake of our family’s safety, because of what war according to their version and how the occupation was carried out by Putin’s army – we can see in Ukraine. It is a horror, reminiscent of Poland’s worst experiences of the 20th century. Experts are sure: Poland is racing against time. We have a few years to build up an army that will deter the enemy and, if necessary, stop him. We cannot count on Berlin and Paris in such a scenario.

We also have opportunities – there is where to buy weapons (and this is not clear at all), it is possible to finance the purchase, there is the political will to do it (Kaczyński’s decision).

It’s a shame we have to catch up on the wasted time in 2007-2015, but it’s good that we did it effectively.

Under these circumstances, an attempt to stop this process is, in my opinion, a crime against Polish security. This is only in the interests of Moscow and Berlin. This was also conveyed by the President when answering questions from TVN journalists regarding the dismissal of ministers Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

Unfortunately, at this point, I am forced, this is not a personal statement to you, to treat you as a Kremlin representative. Because only the Kremlin wants this [Mariusz Błaszczak – red.] ceased to be Minister of State Defense

Let’s emphasize: How Kremlin representatives, as the editorial office of tvN 24, which has always been sensitive to the issue, protested against referring to the journalist as a “Kremlin representative” in the statement issued. Just that difference.

Let’s quote them all:

The editors of tvN24 protested strongly against calling journalists asking socially important questions “representatives of the Kremlin”. This is yet another attack by the authorities on media independence and another attempt to suppress press criticism. We won’t stop asking. In the public interest and on behalf of our viewers. This is the constitutional duty of the media, which is obliged to control public institutions. In connection with Jarosław Kaczyński’s statement, we will take appropriate legal steps to defend the good name of our journalists and TVN.

I’ll allow myself to comment more broadly, as many environments behave similarly. The more aggressively this environment demanded inviolability in court (we know something about this), the more partisan courts punished for a word of criticism, introduced real censorship, the more it became clear that they were far from the Polish cause, namely the security of society. Polish and basic honesty.

Also through the attack on Minister Mariusz Błaszczak (and this means the attack on the Polish army modernization program at a critical moment) they are working in the Kremlin’s favor.

Of course, this does not mean that they must act according to the Kremlin. The coincidence of the goals may not be accidental. Of course, I can.
