The Minister of Health and Care Services, Ingvild Kjerkol, has today appointed the chairman of the board and board members for the regional health authorities.

Odd Inge Mjøen will be the new chairman of the board of the Norwegian Center for Health. Agnes Landstad is the new chairman of the board of Helse Vest. In addition, there are also changes among other board members in the health trust.

– I would like to thank the chairman of the board and the board members who have now resigned for the work they have done. They have put in a great and important work effort over the years for the benefit of the hospital and the patient. At the same time, I am very pleased with the new board members and board chairmen who have arrived. I’ve put together a board with broad expertise and a good understanding of society that will help deliver government policies. The new council is a perfect fit in the work of strengthening healthcare with us, said Minister of Health and Care Services Ingvild Kjerkol, according to a news release on government website.

– Specialist health services are essential for all residents, and are highly competent. This is not the least we are experiencing at this time during the pandemic where extraordinary efforts have been made by employees. Therefore, I am very motivated to assume the role of chairman of the council of regional health authorities for Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag, said Mjøen, according to the Helse Midt-Norge website.

This is an ordinary board election, and board members are appointed for a two-year term. The new board will have overall management requirements for 2022 following the Health Minister’s hospital address on Tuesday 11 January.

The Helse Sør-Øst RHF board will consist of the following board members:
